The Most Beautiful Airbnbs in the Caribbean: 10 Homes on 9 Islands
Your own piece of the Caribbean. 🌴🔑
Not a resort. A house with a view, a host who knows the island, a pool where you're the only one swimming. That's the Caribbean we love.
Here are 10 Airbnbs across 9 islands, from Jamaica to Tobago. Treehouses, a bungalow with its own pool, a villa you can only reach by boat. All live and very well reviewed when we checked them, in October 2026.
📸 About the photos: the pictures in this article show the islands, not the homes. Click through to each listing to see the real thing.

🇯🇲 Calypso Villa, Montego Bay
📍 Montego Bay, Jamaica · 👥 2 guests · ⭐ 4.84 (266 reviews)

A one-bedroom unit in a private villa right at the water's edge, away from the nightlife strip. The host describes it as the only private house in the Montego Bay area right at the seaside. Ocean view, balcony, and the sound of the waves all night.
💛 Why we love it: Jamaica, without the all-inclusive. And Superhost Irina has welcomed guests here for over a decade.
👀 Good to know: it's a unit within the villa, not the whole house.
🇩🇴 Ocean View Villa, Las Terrenas
📍 Las Terrenas, Samaná, Dominican Republic · 👥 6 guests · ⭐ 4.77 (426 reviews)

Three bedrooms on a hilltop in a tropical garden, a private infinity pool, and the ocean below. Playa Cosón, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Samaná peninsula, is two minutes away.
💛 Why we love it: the infinity pool view, for a group of friends or a family. Over 400 reviews, so you know what you're getting.
🇬🇵 LittleHouse Studio, Basse-Terre
📍 Gourbeyre, Guadeloupe · 👥 2 guests · ⭐ 103 reviews

A small eco-friendly house on the hillside of Basse-Terre, with a covered porch facing the Caribbean Sea. Solar hot water, natural ventilation, a private garden. Ten minutes from the trailhead of La Soufrière volcano, fifteen from the ferry to Les Saintes.
💛 Why we love it: the price. From around 58 dollars a night on the dates we checked, with a sea view. Proof that beautiful doesn't have to mean expensive.
👀 Good to know: no air conditioning. The house is designed to stay cool with the breeze.
🇩🇲 Madé Cottage, Portsmouth
📍 Portsmouth, Dominica · 👥 6 guests · ⭐ 4.97 (313 reviews)

A treehouse-style cottage on the hillside, with panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea, Prince Rupert Bay and the mountains. Eco-showers, gardens, hammock, fire pit. Dominica is the wildest island of the Caribbean, and this is how to live it.
💛 Why we love it: one of the best ratings on this list, with over 300 reviews. Guests talk about peace, quiet and the welcome.
🇲🇶 Coco Lodge, Rivière-Pilote
📍 Rivière-Pilote, Martinique · 👥 2 guests · ⭐ 4.84 (192 reviews)

A bungalow for two with its own private pool, in a garden of fruit trees in the south of Martinique. Equipped kitchen, terrace, air conditioning. The beaches of Sainte-Anne and Le Diamant are a short drive away.
💛 Why we love it: the perfect couple's hideaway, and a host who has been doing this for twelve years.
Found the house? I build the trip around it: flights, car, the best beaches, the right restaurants and the experiences no listing will tell you about.
🇱🇨 Treehouse Hideaway Villa II, Soufrière
📍 Soufrière, St Lucia · 👥 5 guests · ⭐ 4.93 (185 reviews)

A solar-powered villa with a private plunge pool and a 180-degree view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. Two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and the most famous view in the Caribbean from your terrace.
💛 Why we love it: you swim facing the Pitons. That's it. That's the reason.
🇱🇨 Villa St Lucia, Marigot Bay
📍 Marigot Bay, St Lucia · 👥 6 guests · ⭐ 4.9 (81 reviews)
Three bedrooms on the hillside above Marigot Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean. Private pool, a big patio, and the beach three minutes away on foot.
💛 Why we love it: there's no road. You arrive by a three-minute ferry across the bay. The adventure starts at check-in.
👀 Good to know: no road access means planning your groceries and outings around the ferry.
🇧🇧 Talking Trees House, Saint John
📍 Foster Hall, Barbados · 👥 4 guests · ⭐ 4.9 (231 reviews)

A wooden cottage in a quiet village on the east coast, between the beaches of Bathsheba and Martin's Bay. Ocean and mountain views, decks, hammocks. The other Barbados, far from the resorts of the west coast.
💛 Why we love it: the hammocks, the wind, the Atlantic. And fast wifi if you need to work.
🇬🇩 Caribbean Modern Ocean Front Villa, Crochu
📍 St Andrew, Grenada · 👥 4 guests · ⭐ 4.93 (115 reviews)

A contemporary villa right on the beach on Grenada's east coast, with a private pool and views of the ocean and the mountains. Superhost Vikki has been hosting for sixteen years.
💛 Why we love it: beach, pool and the spice island, without the crowds. A Guest Favourite on Airbnb.
🇹🇹 Auchenbago, Bloody Bay
📍 Bloody Bay, Tobago · 👥 6 guests · ⭐ 4.81 (136 reviews)

"Rustic luxury" on 4.5 acres, with a wraparound deck, Mexican hammocks and rainforest paths leading down to a beach and a waterfall. Tobago's north coast is one of the most unspoilt in the Caribbean.
💛 Why we love it: your own private bit of rainforest, with the sea at the end of the path.
Before you book an Airbnb in the Caribbean
🌀 Know the seasons. December to April is the dry season, and the most expensive. June to November is hurricane season: cheaper, greener, but take good cancellation terms.
🚗 Plan a car. Many of the most beautiful homes are on hillsides, far from town. Read the reviews about the access road.
💧 Ask about water and power. On some islands, cuts happen. Check if the house has a backup.
🔒 Pay only on Airbnb. Never pay a host by transfer outside the platform. That's how scams work.
💶 Look at the total price. Cleaning fees and taxes can change the bill. Compare totals, not nightly rates.
Your questions
When is the best time to go?
December to April for the dry season. May and early summer for better prices with still good weather. June to November is hurricane season: possible, but book flexible.
Do I need a car?
For most of these homes, yes. Exceptions: Villa St Lucia, where you arrive by boat, and Calypso Villa in Montego Bay.
Which one is best for a first trip to the Caribbean?
Coco Lodge in Martinique if you're coming from France: direct flights, French spoken, private pool. Treehouse Hideaway in St Lucia if you want the iconic view.
Are these homes always available?
Listings change. Everything here was live and well reviewed in October 2026. Check the dates and the latest reviews before you book.
The house is the start. The trip is the rest.
A beautiful home is only half a trip. The other half is knowing where to eat, which beach to go to at which hour, who to call for a boat trip. I design tailor-made trips across the Caribbean, built around the place you fell for.
